The Glenlivet 15 Years Old FRENCH OAK RESERVE 40% vol. 0.7 l + GB is an outstanding single malt whisky steeped in a fascinating history and tradition. The Glenlivet distillery was founded in 1824 and is regarded as Scotland’s first licensed whisky distillery. Today, it has grown to become the country’s largest malt distillery and, with an annual production of around 12 million litres of whisky, has secured a firm place in the history of Scotch whisky.

The Glenlivet 15 Years Old French Oak Reserve is a particularly elegant whisky, matured for at least 15 years in Limousin oak casks from the Dordogne region of France. These casks, which are also used for ageing cognacs, are characterised by their low wood density, allowing the whisky to penetrate deep into the wood. The result is an unmistakable depth and complexity, with a unique, pleasant spiciness that gives this whisky its distinctive character.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark gold with a hint of amber.

Nose: Delicate notes of ripe peaches, apples, vanilla, spices and a hint of oak.

Palate: Full-bodied and creamy, with flavours of ripe fruit, honey, spices, mild woody notes and a hint of vanilla.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth and warming, with a subtle oakiness and a sweet, fruity note.
