MICHAEL Weißburgunder Ried Rosenberger Selektion Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2022 is an expressive and finesse-rich white wine made exclusively from 100% fully ripe Pinot Blanc grapes. These come from the renowned Rosenberger vineyard, a site known for its mineral soils and optimal sun exposure. Hand-picking on 28 September 2022 guarantees a precise selection of the best grapes, which are then gently processed.

After the harvest, the wine is fermented and matured in steel tanks with fine lees ageing, which gives the wine additional creaminess, depth and an elegant structure. This fine lees maturation ensures a harmonious balance between fruit, acidity and minerality and emphasises the complexity of this Pinot Blanc. After an appropriate maturation phase, the wine is bottled and securely sealed with a screw cap to optimally preserve the freshness and flavours. With a storage potential of 2-3 years, it can be enjoyed young or develop its full expressiveness with a little ageing.

Tasting Note

Light golden yellow with delicate reflections in the glass. The nose reveals an intense bouquet of ripe apricots, yellow apples and mango, accompanied by fine honey nut notes. On the palate, it is rich in finesse, creamy and well-structured, with a perfect balance of fruity richness and elegant acidity. The finish is long, harmonious and leaves a fine nutty flavour that gives the wine additional depth.

This Pinot Blanc is an excellent accompaniment to grilled fish, poultry, veal dishes or creamy pasta specialities. It is also an ideal accompaniment to mature cheese and fine starters.
