The Deveron 12 Years Old Highland Single Malt 40% vol. 0.7 l + GB comes from the Macduff Distillery, which is situated at the mouth of the River Deveron on the north-east coast of Scotland. This location, characterised by a harsh coastal climate and fresh sea air, gives the distillery’s whiskies their distinctive, gently maritime character. For the Deveron 12 Years Old, selected barley malts are distilled in copper pot stills and then matured for twelve years in oak casks, which gives it its balanced structure and the combination of soft fruity and delicate woody notes.

The cask maturation ensures a harmonious interplay of malty sweetness, subtle spicy notes and a subtle maritime freshness, which – due to the proximity to the coast – is characteristic of this Highland Single Malt. At 40 per cent ABV, the whisky is pleasantly rounded, smooth and approachable.
