Collection: Depaz Rhum

Depaz Rhum has deep roots in the history of Martinique, dating back to 1651 when the Depaz plantation was founded. After a devastating volcanic eruption destroyed the estate, Victor Depaz rebuilt it in 1902, thereby laying the foundations for today’s distillery. Since then, Depaz Rhum has been synonymous with first-class Rhum Agricole, distilled from the island’s finest sugar cane.

Depaz Rhum is produced using traditional methods that have been passed down through the generations. Depaz’s Rhum Agricole is distilled exclusively from freshly pressed sugarcane juice grown on the fertile volcanic soils at the foot of Mont Pelée. This pure sugarcane juice gives the rum its characteristic freshness and complexity.

After distillation, the rum is aged in small oak casks, which imparts its deep, complex aromas of vanilla, wood and exotic fruits. This careful ageing process ensures that every drop of Depaz Rhum offers a distinctive taste experience.

Depaz offers a wide range of rums, from young, fresh Rhum Blanc to exquisitely matured Rhum Vieux, all of which impress with their unique variety of flavours. Particularly noteworthy are the Depaz Blue Cane Rhum Agricole, made from rare blue sugar cane, and the Depaz XO, which is aged for up to 12 years in oak barrels and captivates with its rich, complex aromas.
