The Depaz Rhum Très Agricole Vieux VSOP is an outstanding agricole rum from the French Caribbean island of Martinique, known for its traditional production and exquisite barrel ageing. Made from fresh sugar cane juice instead of molasses, this VSOP rum represents the purity and authentic character of the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) Martinique.

The Depaz distillery, located at the foot of the Mont Pelée volcano, benefits from a unique terroir with mineral-rich soils that give the sugar cane a particularly intense flavour. After distillation, the rum is matured for at least 4 years in French oak barrels, allowing it to develop its exceptional depth, flavour and balance.

With an alcohol content of 45% vol., the Depaz VSOP develops a harmonious combination of fruity, spicy and woody notes that make it one of the finest rhum agricoles. Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with warm amber reflections.

Nose: Intense and elegant, with aromas of candied fruit, dried apricots, honey, cocoa, vanilla and fine oak spice.

Flavour: Full-bodied and smooth, with notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg and a subtle smoky note.

Finish: Langs, warm and balanced, with hints of caramel, dried fruit and fine wood flavours.

The Depaz Rhum Très Agricole Vieux VSOP is ideal for drinking neat or with a few drops of water to further develop its complex flavours.
