Herradura Tequila, founded in 1870, has established itself as one of Mexico’s most renowned tequila brands. The Hacienda San José del Refugio, in Amatitán, Jalisco, has been home to this exceptional tequila for over 150 years. Herradura is renowned for its artisanal production and the use of 100% blue Weber agave, which grows in ideal conditions in the region. The brand was named after a lucky horseshoe (‘Herradura’), which, according to legend, was found on the Hacienda’s land.

Herradura Tequila is produced using traditional methods that have been passed down for centuries. The blue Weber agave is harvested after eight to ten years, once it has reached full maturity. After harvesting, the agave is slowly cooked in traditional stone ovens to release its natural sugars. The subsequent fermentation takes place without additives, preserving the tequila’s natural character. Herradura places great emphasis on quality and authenticity, and every bottle is produced with the utmost care to offer an exceptional tasting experience.
