Herradura Tequila Ultra Añejo 100% de Agave is an exceptional tequila, characterised by its long ageing process and outstanding craftsmanship. Produced by the Herradura Distillery in Amatitán, Mexico, this Ultra Añejo is the result of years of experience and tradition in tequila production.

What makes this tequila special is its extended ageing: it is aged for over 49 months in Finnish oak casks and bourbon casks. This extended cask ageing imparts complex aromas of vanilla, caramel and toasted wood, whilst perfectly bringing out the natural sweetness of the 100% blue Weber agave. Bottled at 40% ABV, the tequila has a velvety-smooth and rounded flavour, ideal for connoisseurs who wish to experience the full depth of a high-quality añejo tequila.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Rich aromas of vanilla, caramel, toasted nuts and a hint of cinnamon.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth with notes of dried fruit, dark chocolate, subtle oaky notes and a delicate sweetness from agave.

Finish: Long-lasting and velvety with a harmonious blend of sweetness, spice and oak.

Herradura Ultra Añejo is excellent when enjoyed neat, ideally in a tumbler at room temperature to savour its complex flavours. It pairs perfectly with dark chocolate, mature cheese or grilled meat, which complement its rich and sweet notes. Alternatively, it can be used in sophisticated cocktails such as an Añejo Old Fashioned or a Tequila Manhattan to stylishly highlight its unique oak notes.
