Kapriol Gin comes from the Distilleria dell'Alpe, which was founded in 1948 in the Veneto region of northern Italy. The distillery is renowned for its traditional Alpine liqueurs and its use of local herbs. Kapriol Gin was originally developed in 1948 as ‘Kapriol Dry Gin’, but the recipe is based on an even older family recipe dating back to 1830. Kapriol Gin is produced using a slow, gentle distillation process based on double distillation in traditional copper stills. No citrus fruits are distilled directly, in order to achieve a smoother, rounder flavour. These herbs are harvested by hand and gently distilled to fully preserve their natural aromas.
