Metaxa offers a wide range of premium spirits that are appreciated worldwide.

The production of Metaxa

Selection of ingredients

The production of Metaxa begins with the careful selection of the finest muscat wines from the island of Samos and high-quality wine distillates. These ingredients are crucial to the unique flavour of Metaxa.

Distillation and ageing

After distillation, the wine distillates and muscat wines are stored in oak barrels to develop and refine their aromas. The ageing process varies depending on the product and can take up to twelve years.

Secret recipe

A secret blend of Mediterranean herbs and spices is added to the matured distillate to create Metaxa’s distinctive flavour. This recipe has been carefully guarded since the brand’s inception.

Bottling and quality control

Before Metaxa is bottled, each batch undergoes strict quality control to ensure it meets the brand’s high standards. The finished Metaxa is bottled in elegant bottles and is ready to enjoy.
