The history of Moët & Chandon began in 1743, when Claude Moët founded the champagne house in Épernay, in the heart of the Champagne region. From the very beginning, Moët focused on quality and innovation, which quickly led to international success. As early as the 18th century, Moët champagne was highly regarded at the French royal court and at courts across Europe.

The vineyards of Champagne

Moët & Chandon owns some of the finest vineyards in Champagne, covering approximately 1,150 hectares.
