The story of Rozelieures Whisky begins with the Grallet-Dupic family, now in its fifth generation of master distillers. Originally specialising in the production of fruit brandies, the family decided in the early 2000s to extend its expertise to the production of single malt whisky. The decision to distil whisky was innovative for the region and represented a pioneering achievement in France. The proximity to the Vosges mountains and the exceptional quality of the region’s spring water, combined with the finest local barley, proved decisive in the successful production of a whisky that is now internationally recognised and appreciated.

Rozelieures Whisky is produced using strict artisanal methods. The barley used to make the whisky comes from the family estate’s own fields and is carefully malted. Distillation takes place in traditional copper stills, which ensure slow and even heating, thereby preserving the whisky’s delicate aromas. After distillation, the whisky is matured in a combination of new and used casks, including those previously used for cognac, Sauternes or sherry. This variety of cask types lends the whisky its complexity and depth. The long maturation in the Rozelieures cellars ensures a harmonious interplay of fruit, wood and spice.

Rozelieures Whisky is characterised by its elegant structure and the harmonious balance of fruit, spices and woody notes. The ‘Origine’ offers aromas of ripe apples, pears and delicate spices, accompanied by a subtle hint of vanilla. The ‘Rare Collection’, on the other hand, delights with its rich sweetness, reminiscent of honey and exotic fruits, and a hint of Sauternes wine. The ‘Subtil Collection’ presents itself with a light smoky note, combined with aromas of dried fruit and a pleasant spiciness.
