The Botanist is produced by the Bruichladdich Distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. The distillery, renowned for its whiskies, decided in 2010 to create a gin that reflects the rich flora of the island of Islay. The name ‘The Botanist’ refers to the 22 hand-picked botanicals sourced from the island’s wild countryside, which give the gin its unique character.
