Oliver’s Exquisito Sistema Solera 1985, 40% vol., 0.7 l, is an exquisite rum from Oliver & Oliver, which, thanks to its long ageing process and the unique Solera method, offers an outstanding tasting experience. The rum is based on a distillate from 1985 and is matured in a special Solera system, in which different vintages are blended together. This results in a particularly balanced flavour profile and exceptional complexity.

The Exquisito 1985 features a blend of rums with an average age of between 15 and 25 years. Maturation in oak casks imparts a deep, rich bouquet characterised by notes of caramel, vanilla and tropical fruits. With an alcohol content of 40% by volume, it offers a perfect balance between smoothness and strength, making it an ideal rum for collectors and connoisseurs.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark mahogany.

Nose: Complex aromas of caramel, vanilla and oak, accompanied by a hint of tropical fruit.

Palate: Velvety and rich, with notes of toffee, caramel and a subtle woodiness.

Finish: Long and warm, with an elegant sweetness and a hint of spice.

This fine rum is excellent enjoyed neat or with an ice cube to bring out the flavours even more intensely. It pairs perfectly with dark chocolate, mature cheese or even delicate desserts such as chocolate mousse.
