In the picturesque countryside of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation of his family to run a fruit-growing business steeped in tradition. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. He began distilling fine brandies in 1979, followed by the founding of his high-quality vinegar factory in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which are regularly recognised.

Gölles Williams is carefully matured in glass balloons over a period of 2 years. The Williams pear fascinates with its juicy sweetness while still on the tree, and only in the distillate does it unfold its full-bodied fruitiness. Hardly any other type of fruit manages to transport this amazing fruit flavour directly into the glass in such a clear and distinct form.
