Set against the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation to run his family’s long-established fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Higher Federal College for Viticulture and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he devoted himself to refining his parents’ harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. He began distilling fine spirits in 1979, followed by the establishment of his workshop for high-quality vinegar in 1984. Today, the range comprises around twenty fine spirits and just as many varieties of vinegar, all of which regularly receive accolades.

Gölles’ apricot brandy is carefully matured in glass demijohns over a period of two years. Its hallmarks are a smooth, rounded character, a seductive aroma and an exceptionally fruity flavour. It owes these outstanding qualities primarily to the selection of high-quality fruit, in particular the ‘Ungarische Beste’ and ‘Klosterneuburger Marille’ varieties. Hardly any other spirit is able to caress the nose and palate in quite the same way, impressing with its full-bodied aroma.
