J. Bally Rhum Vieux Agricole 7 Ans d’Âge is a premium, traditionally produced Agricole rum from the Caribbean island of Martinique, which impresses with both its craftsmanship and the depth of its maturation. The J. Bally brand is regarded as a pioneer of Rhum Agricole and has stood for first-class quality, authentic character and a close connection to the terroir of this French overseas island for over a century. This rum is distilled from freshly pressed sugarcane juice – not from molasses – and complies with the strict requirements of the AOC Martinique designation of origin.

It is aged for at least seven years in small oak casks, which gives the rum its golden colour and a complex, harmonious interplay of aromas. The combination of a tropical climate, traditional production methods and meticulous cask ageing gives the 7-year-old Rhum Vieux a wonderful balance between spice, fruit and wood. Bottled at 45 % ABV, this expression is powerful yet elegant and refined.

Colour: Warm gold to medium amber.

Nose: Expressive, with notes of vanilla, candied citrus, toasted wood, caramel and spices.

Palate: Round and harmonious with flavours of honey, ripe sugar cane, dried fruit, roasted almonds and a hint of tobacco.

Finish: Long-lasting, dry and spicy, and pleasantly warm with subtle woody notes and floral freshness.

The J. Bally 7 Ans d’Âge is an excellent sipping rum, best enjoyed neat in a nosing glass at room temperature. Adding just a few drops of water allows its character to unfold further.
