The Green Spot LÉOVILLE BARTON Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey 46% vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exceptional special edition from the historic Midleton Distillery in Ireland, which is renowned for its excellent single pot still whiskies. Green Spot itself is a cult brand with its roots in the Dublin wine merchant Mitchell & Son, and is synonymous with whiskies produced in small batches according to time-honoured Irish tradition.


For this edition, the distillery collaborated with the famous Bordeaux wine estate Château Léoville Barton, a Grand Cru Classé in the Médoc. The whisky was initially matured in classic American bourbon and sherry casks before receiving an additional finish in Léoville Barton Bordeaux wine casks. This cask management lends it a unique interplay of aromas, combining the fruitiness and spiciness of the Irish pot still style with the deep, winey notes of French red wine casks.
