Description
Wikinger Met Original 11% ABV 0.75l online kaufen
Wikinger Met Original is a traditional mead with an alcohol content of 11 per cent by volume, produced according to an ancient Nordic recipe. This mead is characterised by its full-bodied sweetness, a gentle hint of honey and a harmonious balance between fruity mildness and spicy depth. Made from high-quality honey, Wikinger Met offers an authentic taste experience deeply rooted in Scandinavian and Germanic history.
Its name and the attractive 0.75-litre bottle with its rustic Viking design make it a real highlight, not only in terms of taste but also visually. Mead was once the drink of the gods and warriors, and with this authentic honey wine you can experience a piece of that tradition – whether enjoyed neat, hot or as a base for creative mixed drinks.
Tasting Note
Colour: Golden yellow with warm, honey-coloured highlights.
Nose: A sweet, intense aroma of blossom honey, accompanied by a light floral note and a hint of vanilla.
Palate: Smooth and full-bodied with a pronounced honeyed sweetness, subtle caramel notes and a delicate fruity note that lends a pleasant freshness.
Finish: Mild and long-lasting with a gentle honey aftertaste, carrying slightly spicy accents.
Wikinger Met Original can be enjoyed in various ways. Served classically neat at room temperature or slightly chilled, it reveals its natural sweetness particularly well. On cold days, it is excellent as a hot drink, similar to mulled wine, enhanced with spices such as cinnamon, cloves or a slice of lemon. It also offers exciting flavour combinations when used as an ingredient in mixed drinks with fruit juices or whisky. Culinary, it pairs perfectly with strong cheeses, smoked meats or sweet desserts such as honey cake and almond tart.
