Suntory is synonymous with excellent Japanese craftsmanship, producing world-renowned spirits such as Yamazaki, Hakushu, Chita, Hibiki, Suntory Whisky Toki, Roku Gin and Haku Vodka. Inspired by Japan’s natural beauty and deeply rooted in Japanese philosophy, Shinjiro Torii founded the company in 1923 with the dream of creating whiskies that reflect the essence of Japan’s natural world and are refined through masterful craftsmanship. Today, three generations later, Suntory is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023, honouring a century of uniting nature, tradition and premium spirits.

Roku Gin is characterised by a unique selection of botanicals that give it a distinctive, authentic flavour. These special ingredients include yuzu peel, sakura blossom, sakura leaves, sencha tea, gyokuro tea and sansho pepper, which are carefully distilled alongside classic botanicals such as juniper, cinnamon, angelica, coriander and bitter orange. These botanicals are harvested in accordance with the ‘Shun principle’, which means they are processed the moment they reach their optimal stage of ripeness to preserve the freshness and purity of the flavours.

The hexagonal shape symbolises the six unique Japanese botanicals, whilst the delicate designs on the glass are reminiscent of traditional Japanese painting. The aesthetic experience is rounded off by a label made from washi, a traditional Japanese paper, which underlines Roku Gin’s deep roots in Japanese culture and craftsmanship.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear.

Nose: Floral and sweet notes, cherry blossom, green tea.

Palate: Complex, multi-layered, smooth, classic, velvety, yuzu.

Finish: Long-lasting, with sansho pepper providing a slight heat.
