Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Intensely fruity with ripe apples, dried fruit and subtle notes of vanilla and oak.

Palate: Full-bodied and complex with flavours of baked apples, caramel, toasted nuts and spices.

Finish: Lang, elegant and smooth with lingering notes of vanilla and dried fruit.

This Calvados is an excellent digestif and can be enjoyed neat or with a little water to bring out its flavours even more. It pairs superbly with fine desserts such as apple tart, crème brûlée or dark chocolate. It also reveals its full potential when paired with mature cheeses such as Camembert or Roquefort. In high-end mixology, it can also add a special depth to cocktails such as a Calvados Old Fashioned or a sophisticated variation on the Manhattan.
