PUNI VINA Marsala is an Italian single malt whisky that impresses with its exceptional provenance and its distinctive finish in Marsala wine casks. Produced by the PUNI Distillery – Italy’s first and only whisky distillery, based in the Vinschgau Valley in South Tyrol – this bottling embodies innovation, craftsmanship and international standards, combined with a strong sense of regional identity.

The name VINA refers to the Marsala wine cask, which takes centre stage in this edition. Following its initial maturation, the whisky is finished in Marsala casks from southern Sicily, imparting sweet, fruity and vinous notes that harmonise superbly with the malt structure. The grain blend used – traditionally consisting of barley, rye and wheat at PUNI – is distilled twice in pot stills, following the Scottish model. With an alcohol content of 43 % vol., the whisky unfolds its aromas in a balanced and elegant manner.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden yellow with a reddish sheen.

Nose: Fruity and elegant, with aromas of ripe berries, grapes, raisins, honey and a hint of vanilla.

Palate: Smooth, balanced and complex with notes of dried fruit, malt, oaky spice, caramelised sugar and a delicate sweetness from the Marsala wine.

Finish: Medium to long, warm and velvety with a winey fruit note and a hint of oak.
