This liqueur has been produced in Latvia since 1752 according to a secret recipe that has been passed down through generations. It is based on the classic Riga Black Balsam, which is composed of over 24 different herbs, roots, flowers, berries and spices and matured in oak barrels. This traditional base is refined in CHERRY by the addition of fruity cherry notes, resulting in a particularly harmonious and modern flavour experience.


The liqueur is produced in the traditional way: the herbs are first macerated in alcohol, then blended in a special process and stored in oak barrels for several months. This barrel ageing gives the liqueur its depth and complexity, while the fruity cherry flavour provides lightness and sweetness. With an alcohol content of 30% by volume, it is milder than the classic balsam, but remains aromatic and full of character.
