Rhum Karukera BLACK EDITION Alligator Rhum Vieux Agricole is a premium Rhum Agricole from Guadeloupe, which develops its exceptional depth and complexity through careful seven-year ageing in French Bourbon and Cognac casks. Bottled at 45% ABV in a generous 1-litre bottle, this fine spirit combines powerful woody notes with the characteristic elegance of a matured Agricole rum.

The Black Edition Alligator owes its name to a special barrel-charring process: the inner surfaces of the oak casks are heavily charred – this process, known as ‘Alligator Charring’, creates a deeply textured layer of charcoal reminiscent of alligator skin. This gives the rum an intense toasty aroma, distinctive spiciness and pronounced depth, whilst its fruity and sweet notes remain harmoniously integrated.

Colour: Deep mahogany with coppery highlights.

Nose: Powerful notes of toasted oak, dark caramel, vanilla, candied nuts and a hint of tobacco.

Palate: Full-bodied and intense, with flavours of spices, cocoa, dried fruit, toasted almonds and a subtle smokiness.

Finish: Long and lingering, with a delicate balance of oak, spices and sweet toffee.
