Lajita Mezcal Artesanal Blanco is an authentic, traditionally produced mezcal from Mexico that showcases the pure aroma of the agave. Produced in the Oaxaca region, the cultural heart of mezcal production, this blanco mezcal reflects the ancient craftsmanship of Mexican master distillers. With an alcohol content of 40% vol. and bottled in the classic 0.7-litre bottle, this mezcal embodies genuine authenticity, depth and regional identity.

Only Espadín agave is used in its production, which is slowly cooked in traditional earthen pits over open fires – a process that gives the mezcal its characteristic smoky undertone. Following fermentation and distillation, the mezcal is bottled without barrel ageing, allowing the Lajita Blanco to retain its clear, agave-typical aromas in their purest form.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear.

Nose: Expressive and earthy, with notes of toasted agave, wood smoke, citrus fruits, white peppercorns and herbs.

Palate: Powerful and lively, with an intense agave character, a hint of smokiness, green herbs, fresh lime and mineral undertones.

Finish: Lang, dry and spicy, with smoky depth, refreshing sharpness and a balanced aftertaste.

Lajita Mezcal Artesanal Blanco is excellent enjoyed neat, ideally at room temperature in a copita or nosing glass, to fully appreciate its complex aromas. It is also an excellent choice for classic mezcal cocktails such as the Mezcal Margarita, Oaxacan Negroni or Paloma with a smoky twist. Culinary pairings include roasted pumpkin seeds with chilli and lime, grilled meat, ceviche, tacos al pastor or even dark chocolate with sea salt.
