Sugar cane honey is used as the raw material for the Diplomático Distillery Collection No. 3 POT STILL Rum. The distillate is produced in traditional copper pot stills or using the discontinuous batch-kettle process, which resembles the classic pot-still method and is renowned for producing particularly aromatic, full-bodied and complex rums. The rum is then aged in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak, with Venezuela’s tropical climate promoting an intense interaction between the wood and the distillate. The Distillery Collection was created to allow consumers to experience, for the first time, the individual rum styles – which are later used in the well-known Diplomático blends – as standalone bottlings in their purest form.
