Hennessy X.X.O Cognac Hors d’Âge is one of the exceptional prestige blends produced by the long-established Hennessy house in Cognac, France. Its history dates back to 1870, when Master Blender Émile Fillioux set aside selected eaux-de-vie with exceptional ageing potential whilst developing the Hennessy X.O. The resulting X.X.O blend proved so significant that it was marketed internationally as early as 1871. Building on the savoir-faire of the Fillioux family, passed down through generations, Yann Fillioux, a seventh-generation Master Blender, revived this historic concept and created the Hennessy X.X.O in its current form in 2018. This Hors d’Âge cognac thus combines historical roots with Hennessy’s long-standing expertise in the selection, ageing and blending of high-quality eaux-de-vie.

Hennessy X.X.O is characterised by the deliberate contrast between a powerful structure and remarkable finesse. Tasting Note

Colour: Bright amber with warm, intense highlights.

Nose: Rich and expressive, with notes of bitter orange, freshly grated nutmeg, liquorice and dried peppermint, accompanied by subtle spices and herbal nuances.

Palate: Powerful and structured, yet remarkably refined and balanced, with multi-layered spicy, herbal and subtly fruity components.

Finish: Very long-lasting and elegant with pronounced persistence, delicate spice and a complex, slowly fading spicy note.
