Kingsbarns Balcomie Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an outstanding example of the art of Scotch whisky-making. With an alcohol content of 46% vol., this whisky embodies the unique tradition of the Lowlands and demonstrates the high quality to which Kingsbarns aspires in its production. The Balcomie Single Malt is distilled in small batches at the Kingsbarns Distillery, a relatively young distillery which has nevertheless already earned an excellent reputation. The whisky is carefully matured in oak casks, which lends it remarkable complexity and depth.

The Kingsbarns Balcomie Single Malt is characterised by a harmonious blend of fresh, fruity aromas and a hint of spice. Maturation in carefully selected casks allows the whisky to develop aromas of toasted wood, vanilla and citrus fruits, whilst subtle notes of oak and a hint of sweetness perfectly round off the flavour. With its elegant structure and well-rounded body, this whisky is the ideal companion for discerning connoisseurs.

Tasting Note

Colour: A light, golden colour.

Nose: Fresh citrus notes of oranges and lemons, combined with a hint of vanilla and a subtle woody nuance.

Palate: Smooth and full-bodied, with a blend of fruity flavours, spicy oak notes and a subtle sweetness.

Finish: Long and smooth, with a harmonious balance between fruitiness and oaky spice.

Kingsbarns Balcomie Lowland Single Malt is excellent enjoyed neat or with a dash of water to intensify the flavours. In cocktails such as a classic Whisky Sour or a Mint Julep, the whisky really brings out its fresh, fruity flavours. This whisky pairs perfectly with dishes such as grilled fish, chicken or mild, matured cheeses, such as Brie or young Gouda.
