Kingsbarns Distillery is a relatively young distillery, yet one that is deeply rooted in the Scottish whisky tradition. Founded in 2014 in the idyllic region of Fife, not far from the historic town of St Andrews, Kingsbarns was established by Douglas Clement, a former caddie at the nearby famous golf course. His dream was to produce a first-class single malt close to this iconic location. Supported by the Wemyss family, who have a long tradition in the wine business and spirits production, Kingsbarns quickly became synonymous with quality and elegance in the world of Scotch whisky.

Kingsbarns Distillery places great emphasis on the artisanal production of its whisky. The distillery uses only Scottish barley grown in the region and pure water from the nearby Cambo Estate. The whisky is distilled in traditional copper stills to refine the aromas and preserve the clear, fruity character that is the hallmark of Kingsbarns. Maturation takes place in carefully selected casks, including ex-bourbon and sherry casks, which lend the whisky its depth, complexity and a rich spectrum of flavours. Kingsbarns’ philosophy is based on combining traditional craftsmanship with a modern approach to create whiskies that are both pure and elegant.

Although Kingsbarns is a young distillery, it has already received significant international recognition. Kingsbarns’ whiskies have won top honours at various competitions, underscoring the distillery’s quality and innovative approach. In particular, Kingsbarns Dream to Dram has won multiple awards and is regarded as an outstanding example of the new generation of Scottish whiskies.

• Kingsbarns Dream to Dram: A smooth, fruity single malt matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and STR (Shaved, Toasted and Recharred) casks. This whisky captivates with notes of tropical fruit, vanilla and a delicate sweetness, all perfectly balanced.
• Kingsbarns Balcomie: This bottling is matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks and offers a rich, complex aroma with notes of dark chocolate, raisins and a subtle spiciness. • Kingsbarns Distillery Reserve: A limited-edition single malt bottled only in small batches. This whisky represents the very best Kingsbarns has to offer – a deeper complexity and an even finer balance between fruitiness and oak.
