Kingsbarns 10 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the first official 10-year-old bottling from the young Kingsbarns Distillery in the Scottish Lowlands, marking an important milestone in the distillery's history. This limited release is strictly limited and exemplifies the distillery's stylistic signature: elegant, fruity and characterised by craftsmanship. Produced from Scottish barley and distilled using the traditional pot still method, this bottling demonstrates what careful maturation and targeted cask selection can achieve.

The whisky matured for the entire ten-year period in a combination of 90% ex-bourbon barrels and 10% STR red wine barrels (shaved, toasted, recharred), giving it a balance of vanilla, fruitiness, spice and structure. It was bottled at 46% alcohol by volume, non-chill-filtered and in a natural colour, in keeping with the spirit of an authentic, modern single malt.

This first decade of Kingsbarns showcases the elegant Lowland style - light, floral yet deep. A whisky with provenance and a clear identity.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Fresh fruit such as peach and apple, vanilla, honey, floral nuances and a hint of oak spice.

Flavour: Creamy and harmonious with notes of stone fruit, caramel, vanilla cream, mild spice and subtle red wine fruitiness.

Finish: Medium length, dry and elegant with fine wood, sweet cereals and a fruity aftertaste.
