The Torabhaig Allt Gleann The Legacy Series Single Malt 46% ABV 0.7 l + GB is an outstanding single malt whisky from the Torabhaig Distillery, which is based on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. As part of the Legacy Series, this whisky is not only a delight but also a tribute to the traditions of the distillery, which began operations in 2017 and quickly established itself as one of the most promising new distilleries in the Islay region.

The Torabhaig Allt Gleann is an Isle of Skye single malt, bottled at 46% ABV, offering a complex balance between smokiness and sweetness. The name ‘Allt Gleann’ refers to the river that flows through the valley in which the Torabhaig Distillery is situated. This whisky is produced using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern distillation techniques, giving it a distinct identity and remarkable depth.

Maturation in ex-bourbon casks imparts a subtle oakiness that harmonises beautifully with the natural fruity and smoky notes. The result is a whisky characterised by a pleasant complexity and a subtle, smoky peaty note typical of the region.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with a hint of amber.

Nose: A blend of fruity notes of apples, pears and citrus fruits, accompanied by a subtle smoky peat note and a hint of oak spice.

Palate: Full-bodied with a balance of sweet toffee, cinnamon and smoky peaty notes, harmonising with a hint of vanilla and caramelised fruit.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering smoky and fruity flavours, rounded off by oak spiciness and a hint of sweetness.

Torabhaig Allt Gleann is ideal for drinking neat, making it perfect for whisky connoisseurs who appreciate smoky yet complex flavours. A drop of water can also help to bring out the deep flavours even further.

This whisky pairs particularly well with barbecued meat, smoky cheese or dark chocolate. Used as a base for whisky cocktails such as a Smoky Old Fashioned or an Islay Whisky Sour, it reveals its delicate flavours to perfection.
