Talisker 10 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the classic expression from the Talisker Distillery on the Isle of Skye and is characterised by a distinctive style combining smoke, maritime spice and robust peppery notes. Founded in 1830, the distillery is situated on the shores of Loch Harport and is closely linked to the rugged landscape of the Scottish Hebrides, as reflected in its motto, ‘Made by the Sea’. The whisky is double-distilled and matured for at least 10 years in American oak casks. During cask maturation, the smoky core character blends with malty sweetness, hints of citrus and maritime notes. The result is a distinctive 10-year-old single malt whisky from the Isle of Skye.

A particularly defining feature of the Talisker 10 Years Old is its intense peppery spiciness, known as the distillery’s typical ‘Chili Catch’, which lingers right through to the long, warming finish. With an alcohol content of 45.8 per cent, this single malt has a robust structure that blends smoke, malt, dried fruit and spices. The whisky is bottled in a 0.7-litre bottle, which, in this version, is presented in a gift box. The redesigned packaging also features a reduced use of plastic. Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Salty, smoky and robust with maritime notes, seawater and a fresh, lemony sweetness, accompanied by malt and subtle peat smoke.

Palate: Powerful and well-balanced with sweet barley malt, smoke and dried fruit, followed by an intense and characteristic peppery spice.

Finish: Long-lasting, intense and warming with pepper, smoke, maritime spice and the typical Talisker ‘Chilli Catch’.

The Talisker 10 Years Old, presented in a gift box, is particularly well suited to being enjoyed neat at around 18 to 20 °C, although a few drops of still water can bring out additional smoky, fruity and spicy nuances. Oysters, smoked salmon and grilled fish complement the salty, maritime character particularly well. BBQ dishes, smoked meats or strong hard cheeses also harmonise with the pronounced smoky and peppery notes.
