Kentucky Owl Bourbon Whiskey ST. PATRICK’S EDITION 50% is a special Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey blend, created in honour of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. For this edition, selected bourbons of varying ages are blended together: The blend includes Kentucky Straight Bourbons aged for 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 years, each contributing its own distinctive characteristics. The more mature components provide intense caramel and vanilla notes, whilst bourbon with a higher rye content adds extra fruitiness and spice. Wheated bourbon, in turn, complements the blend with a softer sweetness and fresh citrus accents. The result is a multi-layered interplay of different bourbon styles within a single bottling.


With a robust 50% alcohol content, the Kentucky Owl St. Patrick’s Edition is intense, structured and, at the same time, harmoniously balanced. Caramel, honey and vanilla form the sweet base, whilst cinnamon, orange and citrus zest provide spice and freshness. Fruity notes and well-integrated oak character lend the blend additional depth. The combination of Kentucky Bourbons with varying ages and compositions makes this 0.7-litre special edition particularly appealing to lovers of complex American whiskies. The link to St Patrick’s Day also gives the bottling a distinctive character within the Kentucky Owl Bourbon range.

Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Sweet and inviting with caramel and honey, accompanied by subtle spice and delicate notes of vanilla.

Palate: Full-bodied with caramel, toffee and cinnamon bun, complemented by chocolate with orange, candyfloss, citrus zest and light forest fruits.

Finish: Long-lasting and well-balanced with vanilla pod, subtle spice and harmoniously integrated oak notes.

The Kentucky Owl Bourbon Whiskey ST. PATRICK’S EDITION is particularly enjoyable neat at around 18 to 20 °C or served over a large ice cube. It pairs well with BBQ beef, slow-cooked pork, tangy Cheddar or smoked meat dishes, as these complement the bourbon’s robust character. Dark chocolate, pecans, cinnamon desserts or orange-chocolate creations also harmonise well with the caramel, citrus and spicy notes. For cocktails, this bottling is particularly well-suited to a robust Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
