Port Charlotte 10 Years Old Heavily Peated is an authentic Islay single malt whisky that reflects the distinctive character of the famous whisky island in every aspect. Sourced entirely from Islay, it combines traditional craftsmanship with a deep, multi-layered aroma. The Scottish barley used comes from the Inverness region and is heavily peated, giving the whisky its distinctive smoky character with 40 ppm (phenol content).

It is matured for ten years in a sophisticated combination of different cask types. 65 per cent is stored in first-fill American whisky casks, which impart sweet vanilla and caramel notes. 10 per cent is matured in second-fill American whisky casks, adding gentle woody accents and a subtle spiciness. 25 per cent is finished in second-fill wine casks from France, giving the whisky additional fruity and spicy nuances. This cask composition lends Port Charlotte 10 a unique balance between robust smokiness, sweet vanilla and fruit notes, and a delicate oaky spice.

Its alcohol content of 50% vol. ensures impressive intensity, whilst its smooth texture and complex flavour profile create a perfect harmony between power and elegance.
