Port Charlotte is a brand of the Bruichladdich Distillery, located on the Isle of Islay, Scotland. The distillery was founded in 1881 and is renowned for its artisanal approach to whisky production. Port Charlotte whiskies were first launched in 2001 with the aim of reviving the long tradition of heavily peated Islay whiskies. Named after the nearby village of Port Charlotte, these whiskies reflect the wild, stormy nature of their origins.

Port Charlotte whisky is made from 100% Scottish barley and distilled in traditional pot stills. The barley is heavily peated, giving the whisky its characteristic smoky flavour. After distillation, the whisky is matured in a variety of casks, including ex-bourbon casks and French wine casks, resulting in a complex and balanced range of flavours.
