Tanqueray London Dry Gin is the result of the dedication and innovative spirit of Charles Tanqueray, who spent many years developing what he considered to be the perfect formula. His efforts paid off, for since 1830, Tanqueray Gin has been produced using a traditional method that involves four distillations.

The process begins with the distillation of neutral spirit from a grain mash, which forms the basis for the subsequent flavouring. In a further step, carefully selected botanicals such as juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, cinnamon sticks and lemon and orange peel are added according to a secret recipe. Once these ingredients have released their flavours, the mixture is distilled again to fully capture the essence of the botanicals and round off the gin’s flavour.

It is this labour-intensive process that gives Tanqueray Gin its distinctive character, which has made it one of the world’s best-known and most highly regarded London Dry Gins for almost two centuries.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear.

Nose: Slightly sharp, juniper, a hint of spruce needles.

Palate: Citrus fruits, juniper, limes, a hint of spices, liquorice.

Finish: Long-lasting, juniper.

Best enjoyed with tonic and a slice of lime.
