The single malt undergoes its initial maturation in ex-Islay whisky casks, giving it a subtle, smoky undertone with maritime notes. The subsequent finish in Oloroso sherry butts lends it additional depth, spice and a delicate fruity sweetness. This combination creates an interesting balance of salty freshness, oaky spice and dark fruit notes.
