The Highland Park Distillery was founded in 1798 and is one of Scotland’s oldest and most renowned whisky distilleries. It is situated in Kirkwall on the Orkney island of Mainland, making it Scotland’s northernmost distillery. Surrounded by rugged countryside and stormy seas, Highland Park whisky reflects the unique climatic conditions of the Orkney Islands. Today, the distillery is part of The Edrington Group and produces around 2.5 million litres of whisky annually.

Highland Park Dragon Legend Single Malt is inspired by the legend of the dragon-slayer Sigurd, who gained the gift of wisdom and prophecy by licking the dragon’s blood. This epic tale is reflected in the bold, dramatic character of this whisky.

Its intense flavour is largely shaped by slow maturation in European oak sherry casks, combined with a higher proportion of peated Orkney malt.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark gold.

Nose: Spicy, oak, peaty smoke.

Palate: Lemon zest, honey, vanilla, warm spices, peat.

Finish: Long-lasting, smoky.
