Flor de Caña has been family-owned since 1890 and is a sustainably produced rum.

In 1875, Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa, a young adventurer from Genoa, Italy, left his family behind to travel to the exotic country of Nicaragua. The perfect location for the distillery was found at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano, Nicaragua’s highest and most active volcano. The fertility of the surrounding land, the nutrient-rich water and the hot volcanic climate proved to be crucial to the rum’s unique and smooth flavour.

Flor de Caña stands for a greener future and Fairtrade-certified spirits.

Flor de Caña ECO rum is produced in a resource-efficient and environmentally conscious manner. Particular attention is paid to using recyclable packaging materials, as well as Fairtrade production using 100 per cent renewable energy.

Furthermore, no sugar or artificial additives are used.

Tasting Note

Colour: Brilliant amber.

Nose: Sweet, with notes of nutmeg, pepper, spices, hazelnut and caramel.

Palate: Full-bodied, rich, with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, toasted nuts and spices.

Finish: Long-lasting, mild, smooth, with notes of vanilla and oak.
