Don Papa pays tribute to one of the lesser-known heroes of the Philippine Revolution, who began his career as a foreman on a sugar cane plantation and later played a central role in the struggle for his country’s independence. As the leader of his countrymen, he spearheaded the resistance against the invaders and played a decisive role in liberating his beloved country from foreign rule.

This exceptional rum comes from the island of Negros, which lies within the Philippine archipelago and is renowned for its first-class sugarcane cultivation. Don Papa Single Island Rum 7 Years Old is made from locally grown sugar cane and is aged for at least seven years in carefully selected ex-bourbon and ex-Rioja oak casks.

This unique combination gives it a rich, complex flavour profile with notes of vanilla, dark fruit and a hint of spice. This rum honours the heroes of the revolution whilst also representing the cultural and artisanal diversity of the Philippines.
