Ron Cristóbal Pinta is a rum-based spirit from the Dominican Republic, matured in ex-bourbon casks under tropical conditions. Named after the Pinta, the fastest ship in the fleet of the explorer Christopher Columbus, this spiced rum commemorates the historic crossing of the Atlantic in 1492. It was the sailor Rodrigo de Triana, aboard the Pinta, who was the first to catch sight of the ‘New World’ on 12 October 1492 – a term describing the hitherto unknown lands of the Americas.
