The V8+ SANDRO Prosecco Extra Dry DOC is a finely balanced Prosecco Extra Dry from south-eastern Veneto that stands for accessible freshness, fine flavour and harmonious structure. Produced by V8+, this bottling is based purely on the Glera grape variety, which develops its fruity and floral style particularly clearly here. The vineyards are located at 30 to 40 metres above sea level in the Venetian plain and are characterised by a moderately deep, alkaline, silty-clayey terroir that rests on a historical soil layer known as caranto-paleosol.


The vineyards are cultivated using the free-cordon and double overturned training system, with a planting density of 3,600 to 4,000 vines per hectare and a yield of around 180 quintals per hectare. The climate is temperate and slightly humid, influenced by the proximity to the Adriatic Sea, with strong temperature fluctuations between cool bora winds and warm, humid scirocco currents additionally promoting the development of flavours. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed pneumatically and the must is quickly separated from the skins. Fermentation takes place at a controlled 15 to 16 °C in stainless steel tanks before secondary fermentation is initiated in autoclaves using the Martinotti method. The minimum fermentation period of 30 days ensures a finely integrated perlage and a balanced flavour profile.

Tasting Note

The colour in the glass is straw yellow with light greenish reflections. The perlage forms a dense, fine and long-lasting head. The nose reveals aromas of acacia blossom, ripe peach and juicy pear. On the palate, the impression is pleasantly soft and fresh with a fruity centre and fine spiciness. The finish is balanced, fruity and smooth with good Langs.
