This special bottling pays homage to Suntory’s unique design philosophy, which brings the Japanese art of ‘Monozukuri’ to life. Monozukuri, which means ‘the art of making’, is reflected both in the quality and in the commitment to creativity that has shaped the development of Yamazaki whisky since its inception in 1923.

Matured for 12 years and carefully blended using American oak casks, sherry casks and Japanese mizunara oak casks, this single malt has attained its unique complexity and elegance. It perfectly embodies the tireless pursuit of quality and the innovative spirit that has defined Suntory Whisky over the last 100 years.

The bottle design is another highlight of this limited edition. It depicts the Yamazaki distillery in deep copper tones, with the bottle’s perspective angled so that it faces upwards. This depiction symbolises the pursuit of higher things, whilst at the same time paying respectful homage to the origins of the Yamazaki Distillery in the Yamazaki Valley, Japan. The profound symbolism of the design reminds us to ‘always keep our feet on the ground’ and never lose sight of the craft.
