Tabu Classic Absinthe is a traditional absinthe which, with a high alcohol content of 55 % vol. and an authentic recipe, delights connoisseurs of this legendary spirit. Produced using classic distillation techniques, this absinthe contains a balanced blend of wormwood, aniseed, fennel and other secret herbs, which give it its unique flavour.

Tasting Note

Colour: Intense green with subtle golden highlights.

Nose: Complex herbal aromas with dominant notes of wormwood, aniseed and fennel, complemented by subtle floral and earthy nuances.

Palate: Spicy and powerful with a pronounced wormwood bitterness, accompanied by sweet notes of aniseed and liquorice, which create a delicate balance.

Tabu Absinth can be enjoyed in the traditional way with ice-cold water and sugar, whereby the addition of water creates the characteristic ‘louche’ cloudiness. For modern connoisseurs, it is also ideal as a base for cocktails, for example in the famous ‘Death in the Afternoon’ with champagne or in the classic ‘Sazerac’, which combines a subtle hint of absinthe with whisky and bitters.
