Deanston 12 Years Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from the Deanston Distillery in the Scottish Highlands and is characterised by a deliberately natural style of whisky. Locally sourced Scottish barley is used in its production, with Deanston relying exclusively on unpeated malt. Traditional production methods also lend the distillate a characteristic, slightly waxy texture, which is considered a hallmark of the distillery. The single malt is matured for at least 12 years in oak casks before being bottled at a comparatively high strength of 46.3 per cent. Tasting Note

Colour: Natural gold.

Nose: Fresh and inviting, with notes of summer hay, malty grain and creamy toffee, accompanied by heather honey, sweet oak and delicate barley sugar.

Palate: Smooth and creamy with fruity notes, malty honeyed sweetness and delicate spice, harmoniously complemented by gentle vanilla.

Finish: Clean and pleasantly long-lasting, with spicy cloves that fade slowly and harmoniously.

The Deanston 12 Years Old is excellent served neat at room temperature, although a few drops of still water can further bring out its malty, fruity and honeyed facets.
