Flor de Caña has been family-owned since 1890 and is one of the sustainably produced rum brands.

The company’s origins date back to 1875, when Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa, an Italian from Genoa, travelled to Nicaragua and found the ideal location for his distillery at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano.

Flor de Caña is committed to sustainability and Fairtrade-certified spirits, and places great emphasis on environmentally friendly production.

Flor de Caña is authorised by the strict US government authorities to use the designation ‘SLOW AGED’. This designation describes the natural, non-accelerated ageing process of the rum in oak casks and is a mark of the highest quality.

The brand combines art and time to produce high-quality sipping rum, with the 25-year-old variant regarded as one of its flagship products.
