The Hennessy distillery is based in Cognac, France. The company was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy and is now run by the eighth generation of the family.

The officer emigrated from Ireland to Cognac and founded the company ‘Jas Hennessy & Co’ at that time. Richard Hennessy’s cognac quickly gained a high reputation and became known worldwide.

Grapes grown on the company’s own vineyards in the Cognac region are used in production. After double distillation in copper stills, a pure eau-de-vie is produced, which serves as the basis for the cognacs.

Hennessy V.S.O.P is a blend of over 60 eaux-de-vie, achieving perfect balance and harmony. The designation V.S.O.P indicates that this Hennessy is of particularly advanced age and exceptional quality.
