Akori Gin Yuzu is a modern, aromatic and fresh gin from Spain, produced by the family-run Destilerías Campeny. Despite its Far Eastern name, it is not a Japanese gin, but a gin produced in Spain whose style is clearly inspired by Japanese flavours. The base is a rice spirit, which is macerated together with juniper and the characteristic yuzu lemon and then distilled. Yuzu is one of the most valuable fruits in Japan and characterises the profile of this gin with its intense, fresh citrus note. Bottled at 40 per cent by volume and crystal clear in appearance, this gin is a balanced combination of juniper, citrus freshness and exotic flavours. Its clear, modern structure sets it apart stylistically from classic London Dry Gins and emphasises its Japanese-inspired elegance.
