For over four generations, the company has been dedicated to perfecting agave cultivation and tequila production. As such, every drop and every bottle of this tequila represents the continuation of a carefully cultivated heritage.

El Mayor Tequila has its tequila tradition deeply rooted in the soil. The tequila is produced exclusively from high-quality Weber Blue agaves, which thrive in the stony lowlands of Jalisco. These plants grow at an altitude of around 2,300 metres, where the mineral-rich sandy soil produces particularly succulent agaves, giving El Mayor Tequila a distinctive flavour that reflects the regional warmth of Jalisco.

El Mayor’s Extra Añejo symbolises the art of careful ageing. It is our finest tequila, made from 100% agave and aged for at least three and a half years in American white oak casks. This process gives it a rich and complex flavour profile, considered a reward for patient connoisseurs.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Dried fruit, caramel, dark chocolate, hazelnuts, nutmeg.

Palate: Full-bodied, wood, caramel, dark chocolate, hazelnuts.

Finish: Long-lasting.
