Highland Park 14 Years Old LOYALTY OF THE WOLF is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Orkney Islands, originally created for the travel retail market. The whisky is matured for at least 14 years and derives its complex character from a combination of different cask types. Sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks are used for maturation; their differing influences ensure a balanced blend of sweetness, fruit, spices and Highland Park’s characteristic subtle smokiness. The Highland Park Distillery, based in Orkney, was founded in 1798 and is particularly renowned for its blend of aromatic heather peat, malty character and meticulous cask maturation.

The name ‘Loyalty of the Wolf’ draws on the design of the former Highland Park Travel Retail series, which was inspired by Norse history and mythology. The Highland Park 14 Years Old Loyalty of the Wolf is best enjoyed neat at around 18 to 20 °C, although a few drops of still water can bring out additional nuances. Its sweet and spicy profile pairs well with mature Cheddar, roasted almonds or walnuts, and mildly smoked meats. Desserts featuring baked apple, cinnamon, vanilla or sponge cake are particularly well-suited, as they complement the flavours developed during cask maturation.
