Savanna’s Cuvée Yann Le Gall, presented as the second release in the Artist series, combines two very old molasses rums with an 8-year-old agricultural rum. Matured in ex-cognac casks, this cuvée embodies the art of refined blending by harmonising the depth and complexity of the various rums.

The Yann Le Gall cuvée, which will be unveiled on 4 May, continues the innovative collaboration between the distillery and the artist Yann Le Gall, which began with the first Vast cuvée in 2023. Thierry Grondin, Savanna’s Master Blender, has taken great care in selecting two very old molasses rums to combine with an 8-year-old agricultural rum.

These three rums, matured in ex-Cognac casks made of French oak, form a unique blend that reveals a refined and balanced palette of aromas. This cuvée is a testament to the Savanna distillery’s exceptional expertise in the art of ageing and blending, combining the tradition of rum-making with modern artistic creativity.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light amber.

Nose: Floral notes, milk chocolate, honey.

Palate: Woody notes, cinnamon, hazelnuts, dried fruit.

Finish: Long-lasting.
